Cape Grace is a South African built Voyage 500 Catamaran. It is very spacious and well suited to a large family, for chartering or as a dive boat. It has 4 double cabins and 5 heads, a large salon and galley and spacious cockpit with loads of deck space, large trampolines and long sugar scoops, with easy-rise transom steps.
Cape Grace is an opportunity to buy a large catamaran at an affordable price. It is going to require some cash finance and work to get her into good working order. The vessel has been on the hard for a few years and the engines and saildrives have been removed. The engines are not worth rebuilding but could be sold for scrap parts. The saildrives are scrap metal only. (Old engines and saildrives are available to the buyer.)
This provides the opportunity to re-power and start afresh with new diesel or perhaps electric motors. The boatyard has provided an estimate of between $70 000 and $75 000 to repower with diesel engines depending on the model of engines chosen.
Cabin soles will need to be refurbished and some of the countertops will need to be painted or refinished.
Note of caution. The yacht is being sold AS IS WHERE IS as a project. Potential buyers may put the yacht under contract and have a land survey only. It is not possible to launch the yacht for a seatrial due to the absence of the saildrives and engines. It is unlikely that conventional marine financing or insurance will be available for the yacht until new engines are installed. The yacht is not hurricane damaged.
