The Caliber LRC (Long Range Cruiser) is designed for the discerning cruiser who is looking for a boat that handles well, sails fast, is live-able and safe. Caliber is renowned for its strength of build which incorporates several safety features, from a watertight forward bulkhead, to extra-strength hull-to-deck joint, to the Double-Lock Chainplate System (TM), to triple supports for the rudder, reinforced impact zones on the hull and so much more!
The LRC also has two water and two fuel tanks which are integrated into the hull below the cabin sole, allowing the weight to be carried low in the boat for stability and giving all areas above the cabin sole over to storage.
The 2-cabin, 2-head layout is ideal for living aboard and long-range cruising for a couple with occasional guests or for a family. The nav station and aft head are conveniently located to the companionway and the galley is well appointed for cooking while under way or at anchor. Norma Mae has traversed the East Coast from New York to Deltaville the past 4 years, with the owners spending the summers up north as full-time live-aboards and returning to Deltaville for the winter months. The vessel cruises comfortably at 7 knots and handles well in all weather conditions. The inner forestay with self-tacking jib is set up for heavy weather sailing.

The interior of the Caliber 40 has 6’5″ headroom in the salon and is finished with honeyed Teak bulkheads and trim, white headliner & cabin liner & beautifully varnished Teak & Holly cabin soles . Overhead hatches (salon hatch – Lewmar 2023) and stainless steel portlights provide light and ventilation. All portlights have custom curtains (2023).
L-shaped Galley is to port of the companionway, with sinks amidships and stove & fridge along the hull. It has storage above and below counter level and a custom Teak post/hand hold amidships, between galley and salon.
