BOAT SHOW PRICE ADJUSTMENT!

The Salina 48 is a superb cruising vessel for a family, but is easily handled by a couple.  The slim hulls and low center of gravity, as well as the waterline length, make it an extremely capable and comfortable offshore cruising catamaran. The light, spacious interior, fabulous galley, large, well-protected cockpit with easy access to the helm, wide side-decks and wide sugar scoops with low-rise stairs, make this vessel easy to move around and allows good access to the water/dinghy.

Sea Dancer was delivered to Durban, South Africa, for its first owner.  It was lightly used and sold it to the current owners who have lived aboard for the past 3 years, crossing the Atlantic from South Africa to the US via St Helena, Brazil, Eastern Caribbean, Central America & the Bahamas.  It has never been chartered

The specified layout is a 4 cabin and 4 heads, but the owners have customized it to tie in with their live-aboard lifestyle.  They have made several, practical changes; increasing the amount of storage by converting the bunks/pilot berths in the passageways to storage lockers; installing a full length hanging locker in the ‘office’ and a pantry storage locker in the port forward cabin; creating (removable) storage shelves in 2 of the heads, converting the forward ‘crew quarters’  to sail and equipment storage and converting the starboard, forward cabin to an office. They removed the dining table in the salon to create more space and used the table as the desk for the office.  The starboard aft cabin is used as the owner’s cabin, so this hull is used as the owners’ suite. There is a full-size washing machine next to the Galley; an ergonomically friendly gaming chair at the chart table keeps the officer on watch comfortable.

To improve functionality, safety and ease of handling under sail, the Spinnaker winch was moved to the cabin top forward of the helm and the spinnaker sheet re-routed to that position.  So Sea Dancer has all the working winches in the same location.
