The IP 370 is spacious, sturdy, sea-kindly. The cockpit is deep, comfortable and safe; wide side-decks allow easy access to the bow and transom platform and steps allow good access to the water and to the dinghy. The IP 370 is designed as a cutter, with the staysail on the inner forestay with the self-tacking Hoyt boom as the foot.
The wide beam creates large interior volume with excellent headroom and plenty of seating; the user-friendly galley is well appointed. The bunks are queen-sized and both cabins have space for the occupants to move around comfortably.
Grace is a three-owner boat. She has spent her life on the Chesapeake Bay, so has been lightly used and extremely well maintained. Numerous upgrades have been made in the past 3 years in order to ensure that systems are modernized and in good working order (see full specifications for details). Recent improvements were undertaken by Zimmerman’s Boatyard in Deltaville.
Equipment and upgrades include:
This boat has loads of storage and is a wonderful 2-person cruising vessel. Someone else has done the upgrades, you can have the fun. Don’t miss Grace!
The large, well appointed galley is to starboard of the companionway. It has top-loading fridge and freezer in the aft countertop, with storage above counter level; 3-burner stove, along the hull side and more storage; sink and more storage in forward countertop which runs at 45 degrees to create space & easy access to the galley.
To port is the aft cabin which houses a double berth, with custom mattress pad & sheets (2019), storage along the hull side and the nav station. The forward bulkhead has a solid ‘window’ which can be removed to give a sense of openness and provides added light and ventilation if desired.
The salon consists of a straight settee to starboard and a modified L-Shaped settee to port. A small flip up/down cocktail table is hinged into the back of the galley counter on the port side. The dining table folds up against the forward, port bulkhead, so the salon has lots of floor space and sense of openness.
Forward of the salon is the head, to port, with separate shower stall, storage to starboard, at the forward end of the settee, and the master cabin in the bow. The master cabin has a queen-sized berth, with custom mattress pad & sheets (2019), which can be accessed from both sides. Plentiful storage in 2 louvered lockers to starboard, shelves along the hull and drawers under the bunk. The head can be accessed from the cabin. A large overhead hatch provides a lot of light and excellent ventilation.
