The Beneteau 343 is one of the most popular models that Beneteau built. The model number (343) is misleading as it is not actually 34 foot long, it’s 35’6 with 6’8 headroom in the salon! It has good interior volume with a 2 cabin, 1 head layout, spacious galley and a large cockpit with walkthrough transom that allows for easy access to and from the water and wide side decks. It sails well, handling both light and heavy weather conditions with ease.
This boat has spent its entire life on the Chesapeake Bay. It has approximately 550 hours on the Yanmar 30HP Engine (the hour meter has faded out). This boat is very clean and lightly used. The current owners bought in 2017, and have used it to explored the southern Bay.

The L-shaped galley is to port of the companionway with fridge, sink, propane stove, microwave oven and storage cupboards. Access to the aft cabin is through the galley. The cabin which has a queen sized bunk with storage locker. There is also access to the back of the engine as well the cockpit locker, which doubles as an emergency exit.
Opposite the galley is the entrance door to the head compartment which has a separate shower. A marine head is behind the door and a sink with vanity cupboard in the center. The shower stall has a curtain and teak grating seat.
Forward of the head compartment is an aft facing chart table with storage to the side and below. Electronics panels for DC and AC are at the chart table.
The salon features a curved settee to port with a fixed table. The table has a leaf which folds up/down on each side. The main salon has reading lights, fans, stereo speakers, skylights and opening hatches. There is plentiful storage in opening cupboards outboard, shelves and below the settee.
The forward cabin features a V-berth with insert, two hanging lockers and shelves down the hull sides. Overhead hatch provides light and ventilation; a sliding door shuts it off from the salon for privacy.
