FRESH WATER TANK
Beneteau did not build many of the Tommy Bahama (TB) Edition 473’s, so Mystic Hearts is a rare offering. She has a beige hull and canvas and the Palm Tree theme throughout. The TB insignia is seen on the hull, near the bow and on the coachroof, on the mainsail UV cloth and table inlays in the cockpit and salon. It is carried through the interior with rattan fronts to upper cabinetry and the upholstery on the aft cabin mattress and on the bench seat in the salon is still the original TB-themed fabric.
The Beneteau 473 has a reputation for its solid feel and sleek hull shape which leads to superb sailing performance. People who have sailed a 473 in heavy seas are delighted with the sea-kindliness and steady motion. The cockpit is large and safe, dual helms allow for good control on either tack and for docking, while freeing up the center of the cockpit for the crew; wide side decks & good hand holds on the coachroof allow safe passage forward. The granny bars at the mast serve many purposes.
The interior accommodations are spacious and very ‘livable’ , with 2 cabins and 2 heads, a large galley and plenty of room to entertain.

The galley runs along the starboard hull from the base of the stairs to the aft bulkhead. The galley is L-shaped and provides work space and storage. The countertops are Corian. A custom teak lid was fabricated for the top-opening freezer it is lighter, better insulated and better sealed than the original. A front-opening fridge & oven are situated along the hull-side. Cabinets with rattan fronts are above counter level. The microwave oven recessed into the aft bulkhead. Through the bulkhead at the rear of the galley is a door that leads into the cockpit locker, which can serve as extra storage.
The aft cabin is to port of the companionway & has a large double berth & storage locker. It is accessed through door in the port, aft bulkhead. Forward of that is the aft head which can be accessed from the cabin or from the salon. Between the head and the port settee is the forward facing nav station with ergonomically friendly seat that has storage below.
The salon consists of a large U-shaped dinette to starboard, with a bench amidships and a 2-person settee to port. The bench provides added storage. The table lowers to form a double berth and has a leaf with the Tommy Bahama logo inlaid, to extend it and allow it to easily seat 6.
The door to the forward/master cabin is offset to port. The cabin has plentiful storage. The owners added custom cabinets, on the port and to starboard, effectively doubling the storage capacity. Three opening hatches have new Ocean Air pull-out screens. A queen-sized berth can be accessed from either side at the foot and has drawers beneath as well as a thick, hinged custom mattress. It is made from multi-layered foam and has a foam topper. A TV is located on forward bulkhead. The head is to starboard and has a separate shower stall.
