Oceana is currently on the hard in Deltaville, VA.  This vessel is well equipped for offshore passage making & long-term cruising to which her history will attest.  It is sleek and sails well, yet is roomy and comfortable for a family and easily manageable for a couple.

“Oceana” was one of the last Leopard 42’s built before the change to the Leopard 43.  This is the 3-cabin owner version, never chartered and actively used over its lifetime.

The first owners sailed largely on the Chesapeake Bay; the second owners owned the boat for 12 years, cruising extensively throughout the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico before selling in early 2019 to a family who sailed the East Coast of the US in the summer of 2019. The current owners purchased Oceana in late 2019, sailing to Florida for the winter of 2019/20. With the advent of Covid, Oceana was berthed in Manteo, NC for most of 2020/2021, where numerous upgrades were made to systems.  In the winter of 2021-22 the owners set out again for 5 months of cruising in Florida and the Bahamas.

In the Fall of 2022, in preparation for the sale of the boat, the bottom & boot-stripe were stripped and barrier coated. Bottom was anti-fouled and boot-stripe repainted.  Hull sides compounded and waxed.

The port hull is the guest hull and the current owners have turned the aft cabin into a workshop. The mattress is still in the cabin, but has been tilted up to make a work area.  Access to the port engine, watermaker and fuel filters is under the bunk and there is storage port and starboard.  The toilet in the aft head has been removed and an Engle 12V Freezer put in its place. Plumbing for the toilet is still in place. Shelving is installed above the freezer.
