This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey is the 2-cabin, 1-head version in excellent condition. Banyan’s current owners have cruised her for the past 10 years and recently had extensive upgrades and maintenance projects completed in Guatemala. Before that she spent most of her life in fresh water. Her previous owner won the Marian to Bermuda race in 2005 and the current owners have proven that she is fast, by winning a couple of round-the-island races in the Caribbean. So Banyan is a really good combination of speed and comfort. She is loaded with cruising gear and all sorts of neat features to make the life of a live-aboard cruiser more convenient.

The interior wood is the Jeanneau honeyed oak, with teak and holly floors. The companionway stairs were stripped and re-varnished in 2022. The sagging headliner, where it meets the hull, was removed and replaced with vinyl over plywood and affixed with heavy duty Velcro.
The large galley is to starboard of the companionway. It has new formica countertops, plenty of storage above counter level and below. Large refrigerator/freezer, double sink, stove with a cover that serves as preparation surface when the stove is not in use. Cabinets in salon and galley have new veneer (2022).
The head is to port of the companionway. It too is large and has a shower area that can be curtained off, with a fold-down seat. Behind the head is access to the expansive aft cabin which has a queen-sized berth, storage and good standing room. The headliner was replaced in 2020.
The port side of the salon consists of the forward facing chart table, with ergonomically friendly seat and easy access to the electrical panel and electronics. There is a 2 seat settee forward, with storage beneath and behind.
The dinette is to starboard, with C-shaped settee and a table that can drop down to form a double. The upholstery is an ultrasuade and was replaced in 2021. The watermaker and a location for a battery can be found beneath the seats along with plentiful storage. Above the starboard forward cabinet is a custom glass holder.
The forward cabin is huge! There is space to stand and move around at the aft end of the V-berth. Bunk has a Tufted Topper mattress topper w/ Froli Sleep System(plastic support system for circulation & comfort) beneath. Double storage cabinets to starboard and a seat as well as storage to port. Further storage (3 compartments) under the bunk. The vinyl hull liner was replaced with teak in 2018. A large hatch provides light and ventilation.
