PHENOMENAL VALUE

IDEAL FOR LARGE FAMILY OR CHARTER.

Currently in the Bahamas

New Lithium Batteries

New Profurl Furlers

Kimosabi is a head-turning, sailing dynamo, with dark blue hull and sleek lines.   Hull number 15, Kimosabi was the last of this model built. It is ideal for a family or for use as a charter boat.  The 4/5 cabin, 5 head configuration allows privacy for all on board and this boat has plenty of room to move around.  The boat has spent most of its life in the Mediterranean, but the current owner brought it across the Atlantic in 2021 from Spain and, though the family were on board, he sailed it single-handed.  He raves about the sailing capabilities and how comfortable Kimosabi feels under way. The 7′ draft and tall rig provide stability and power under way.

The size of this vessel makes it very comfortable for a large group of people.  The double cockpit allows those not involved in the sailing and sail-handling activities to stay out of the way of those that are.  The aft cockpit is spacious enough for people to move around easily, with plentiful storage and dual helms, easy access to the sail-handling winches and the transom. There are winches on coamings of the aft cockpit and on the coachroof alongside the mast, so plenty of winches for line handling with (2 ) electric winches in key positions.

The forward cockpit is strictly for entertainment, relaxation and access to the interior.  It has a large bimini for shade and the dodger provides good protection from the weather.  There are numerous opening hatches on deck providing light and ventilation and a large dome hatch letting light into the salon.  A large forward storage locker is accessed from the deck and the anchor locker is divided in 2.

The fold down transom opens to a ‘garage’ which has space for the toys to be stored, including dive gear, a dive compressor and a fabulous sound system.  It allows easy access to and from the dinghy and the water.

The interior is cavernous!  A huge salon, with dining table to port and 2 chairs on the starboard side, forward of the nav station.  The galley is a separate room with copious amounts of storage, a full size fridge/ freezer and access to the generator and engine room.

There are 2 double cabins in the stern of the boat and one bunk cabin, each with their own head. The forward accommodation can be configured as one large cabin or two. A retractable bulkhead can be pulled forward to divide the space creating a double port side cabin and a single to starboard.  The two forward heads share a shower.

Accommodations

The size of the salon on this CNB 64 is impressive to say the least. It has a dinette to port with large oval table with curved settee and  2 chairs. Aft of the settee is a cabinet with SOBA washer/dryer and storage below.  To starboard are 2 comfortable chairs and the chart table with an impressive array of electronics as well as access to the electrical panel. An oval skylight produces lots of light as do fixed ports in the hull and ‘eyebrows’ and opening hatches in coachroof.

The forward section of the boat consists of 2 cabins, a double to port and a single to starboard, each with lots of storage; 2 heads  each with toilet and vanity; and a shared shower in the bow. The bulkhead between the cabins can be folded back to create 1 large cabin with the single bed acting as a settee.

To port of the companionway is the galley. It is a walk-in room which can be closed off to the salon. It has a full-size fridge, stove, microwave , double sinks and a remarkable amount of storage. The engine and generator can be accessed through doors in the galley, as can the battery control switches.

The companionway stairs can be lifted to access the generator and dive compressor and a door in the starboard passageway gives further access to the engine  and battery monitoring equipment.

A passageway down the starboard side of the boat leads to  a bunk cabin, with its own head and two double aft cabins each with their own heads and storage.  A storage/wet locker is situated at the end of the passageway.
