The Island Packet 380 is a well sought after cruising boat and Island Time has been used for just that by her current owners. They bought the boat in 2003 and sailed it in the Caribbean from 2005 to 2018, keeping it in Trinidad for 7 years and Antigua for 5 years. In 2018 Island Time returned to the US and has been in Deltaville since June 2020 – so this boat has certainly proven that it can live up to its reputation.
The Island Packet 380 combines space and comfort for living aboard. The large galley and the salon table that stows against the forward bulkhead, give the feel of a much larger vessel. Plentiful storage throughout, as well as a large forward cabin with centerline berth that can be accessed from both sides, large aft cabin with a ‘secret’ basin, head that can be accessed from salon or forward cabin are all features that are desired by cruisers.
The deck and cockpit complete the picture, with all lines coming back to the large cockpit which has long bench-style seating and commodious cockpit lockers. Wide side decks, electric windlass, cutter rig with Hoyt Boom, make it easy to sail short-handed.
Island Time is well equipped for cruising and has had numerous important upgrades.

The interior is spacious and gives the impression of a much bigger boat. On entry, the u-shaped, well equipped galley to starboard. Access and access to the spacious aft cabin, with double berth and ample storage, is to port. Just forward of the aft cabin is the aft-facing Nav station with large, opening chart table. The aft end of the port settee juts out slightly to double as the nav seat, with storage below.
The port settee serves as the seating for dining as the table, which is stowed against the forward, port bulkhead can be lowered at meal times. When the table is lowered, shelving/glass and bottle storage, is exposed. The port settee can be pulled out to form a double berth. The starboard settee is a single, straight settee which makes a good sea berth. There is a set of drawers at the forward end and there is ample storage below and behind both seating areas due to the fact that the tanks are below the cabin sole.
The head is to port and can be accessed from either the salon or the forward cabin. It is spacious and sports a shower stall that folds up against the aft bulkhead when not in use.
The forward cabin serves as the master, with a centerline berth that can be accessed from both sides. It has storage below the bunk, accessed by lifting the aft end of the bunk which is supported by gas struts. There is also storage on either side of the cabin It is well ventilated and lit by a large hatch.
