IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LOT OF BOAT-BANG FOR YOUR BUCK, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN BOJANGLES!

The Dufour 56 CC is a rare find.  It’s an ideal cruising boat for a family, with plenty of room down below and on deck. It has large salon, galley and aft cabin as well as 2 bunk cabins forward, giving everyone ‘space’.   The current owners are very experienced sailors and they report that this vessel sails better than anything they have owned before, thanks to the deep draft and the tall rig (as well as brand new sails!), though it needs a good 15+ knots to show its true capabilities.   They love the live-aboard/live-able layout which allows the crew to move around in comfort, both on the deck and down below.

Bojangles has crossed the Atlantic and traversed the Caribbean as well as the East Coast of the US. The owners have done a terrific job of modernizing and refreshing the interior, by painting cabinets and bulkheads and adding the hard dodger for a more durable cruising exterior.

The current owners bought Bojangles in 2021 and spent the winter of 2021/2 working on her and upgrading systems.  This vessel has the following equipment and upgrades:

Volvo Penta 100HP engine

Westerbeke 6kw Generator

Lithium Battery Bank (400AH/24V – 2022)

Solar Panels (1280W)

Transformers/Inverters (220V <->110V/ 60 <->50H/220V <->24V/12V<->24V))

The owners took Bojangles to the Bahamas from January to March of 2023, so she is ready to go cruising.  Don’t miss out on Bojangles, this is a lot of boat for your $$!

Accommodations

The companionway leads into the salon with Nav Station to starboard, dinette to port, with a large table and midships bench.  Opposite the dinette, a table and settee was converted to a wide chez lounge, ideal for sleeping on overnight passages or daytime reading. All upholstery has been re-placed (2021) and cabinets, bulkheads and other surfaces painted in white and a pale green (2021/2), with teak trim, giving it a modern, light feel.

The head is to starboard, behind the Nav station and can be accessed from the salon or the aft cabin. There are 2 head compartments, the forward one has toilet (LaVac), basin, with shower head and storage cabinets; the engine can be accessed from the midships side of this area. The aft compartment also has a shower head and is used for storage, a door leads from here into the aft cabin.

To port is the galley, which is also the walk-through to the aft cabin.  It has extensive storage and lots of counter/work space.

The aft cabin has a centerline queen berth with storage port and starboard, overhead hatch for storage and access to a storage room that leads into the head, on the starboard side.

Forward of the salon are twin cabins each with it’s own door, overhead hatches,  bunk beds and storage cabinets. The lower bunk in each cabin can be pulled out to create a double berth.  Each cabin has an en-suite (wet) head; the starboard head is being used as a storage compartment for a large portable Dometic freezer as well as the Hookah and other items.
