Caliber is known for building strong, well-founded vessels which sail well and are kindly in a seaway – built for cruising in comfort. The Caliber 33 is no exception. The cut away keel gives it a lot of the characteristics of a full keel boat, with better performance. The current owner reports that it is comfortable offshore and there is no creaking down below. It has a safe cockpit with easy access to the winches from behind the wheel, wide side decks, a sturdy rig and bowsprit, spacious, well appointed interior with 2 cabins.
Osprey is a clean, well kept Caliber in fabulous condition. The woodwork has just been stripped and re-coated with Sikkens Cetol, so she is looking fabulous. Companionway allows access to galley to port and nav station, with storage below, to starboard. A spacious quarter berth stretches under the cockpit, behind the nav station and can be closed off to form a private cabin.
The salon has a settee on either side with storage behind and above each and below the starboard settee, The salon table folds up against the starboard, forward, bulkhead, creating a large floor area and sense of openness. Behind the table is storage.
Storage drawers can be found forward of the port settee, opposite the door of the head which is to starboard.
The V-berth is comfortable and has storage lockers and drawers to port and beneath the berth & shelves along the hull sides. A large hatch provides light and ventilation.
