FRESH WATER TANK
This classic Catalina is ideal for a family or for a couple who want to sail the Bay and venture down the ICW. Sanctuary is a really neat and clean Catalina 36. Her owners have owned her since 1989 and kept her very well maintained over the years. In the early years they cruised her all over the Chesapeake Bay, but usage has tailed off, so it’s time for Sanctuary to find a new crew to go adventuring with.
She is the deep draft version (5’10") with standard rig, so performs well (Sanctuary won the Catalina 36 National Championships in 1999!). Canvas and cushions are in very good condition. The boat was hauled for the winter of 2019/20. In April 2020 the bottom was painted, zincs and impeller changed, so Sanctuary is ready to go.
Make an appointment to see Sanctuary before someone else takes her off the market!
The spacious galley is to port of the companionway with chart table to starboard. The chart table has a comfortable, upholstered, pivoting chair.
Behind the chart table and under the cockpit is the aft cabin which is separated from the salon by a curtain. A settee on the starboard side could serve as a bunk for a small person and there is a double berth midships.
The salon consists of a C-shaped settee to port, around a large dining table, which can be lowered to form a double berth. To starboard are 2 single seats separated by a table. Forward of the starboard seats is a set of drawers. There is plentiful storage above, behind and below the seating areas and throughout the boat.
The head is port, forward. It is spacious and has a seat for sitting while showering and a curtain that can be used to keep the toilet & basin dry when the shower is in use. The V-berth is large and has a hanging locker to starboard and drawers below. An overhead hatch provides ventilation.
