Malo is an iconic Scandinavian boat builder, known for solid offshore cruising boats, built to the highest standards. The hull is fiberglass reinforced ISO & ORTO polyester, balsa cored above the waterline and below the waterline all ribs and stringers are individually fitted and all bulkheads are laminated onto the hull. The mast support is galvanized steel and the keel is integrated lead ballast.
The deck is also balsa cored, with aluminum reinforcing below all fittings and tracks. The hull-deck joint is bolted and bonded; the decks are overlaid with 12mm teak planking. There is a solid windscreen around the forward part of the cockpit with a spray dodger that attaches to the windscreen at the front and a fiberglass arch at the back. A deep cockpit with easy access to the transom steps makes the boat safe under way and ideal for access to the water when at anchor. The solid fiberglass rudder has a 60mm stainless steel shaft with roller & slide bearings.
Nereus II has seen some extended cruising with her owners, having sailed her extensively in the Mediterranean, crossed the Atlantic, via the Cape Verde Islands to the Caribbean and up the east coast of the USA. So this vessel has proved her pedigree and has done what what it was built to do!

There is so much more……..this boat is loaded with cruising gear. It has been well maintained and has a lovely warm feel down below. The owner is German and has not been able to return to Deltaville since the beginning of 2020. Nereus II needs a new crew who will return to the ocean and embark on new adventures.
The interior has a warm glow thanks to the rich mahogany offset by the dark blue upholstery, teak and holly floors and white headliner.
The galley is to port, with access to the aft cabin behind it. The galley compact and well appointed.
The aft cabin has a double berth, bench and storage. A hatch which is below the port lazarette, opens up into the cockpit.
To starboard of the companionway is access to the aft head, with manual head, basin with pull-out shower & corian counter tops.
Forward of the head is the comfortable nav station with access to the electrical panels and electronics and a large chart table that can double as a desk. Forward of that are 2 chairs separated by a cocktail table with storage below and cabinets above as well as storage below.
To port is the dinette. U-shaped settee around a table that has a pivoting top that has leaves that fold out to seat a dinner party of 6. More storage above and below the settees.
The forward cabin has a large V-berth with a head to port, it has a fresh water flush, electric toilet with basin and pull-out shower. Extensive storage to starboard & some to port as well as along the hull and under the bunk. A large overhead hatch provides light and ventilation.
