Common Blue is the ‘most upgraded’ and best equipped Lagoon 39 on the market. The current owner wanted to live and work aboard, away from the dock, for lengthy periods, without having to rely on noisy, mechanical means for energy generation. Consequently, an extensive solar array was installed over the helm in place of the bimini and on a custom arch over the transom. To accommodate the energy generated a large battery bank was installed, which allows the vessel to run off electricity without the need for any kind of generator.

In order to enhance the sailing performance, 2000lbs of weight was removed from Common Blue and top-of-the-line North 3Di Mainsail and Jib were acquired. Along with a good set of easy to furl headsails and an Asymmetrical spinnaker for downwind sailing.

To accommodate the live-aboard life style with 2 people on board, the forward, starboard cabin was converted to a store-room/workshop/pantry with custom shelving, a washing machine and a 12V freezer. This can be easily converted back to a cabin if needed. The dinette in the salon was converted to a large couch, for lounging and watching TV, with storage beneath.

The custom arch provides, support for the solar array, davits, as well as extra seating for those on-board parties, or for the crew to relax with a book.
